Honestly, it is good to create a conducive environment for services, but this cannot change people. Only a man who is connected to the flow of the spirit can bring down this awesome experience.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once; it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; The glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former, said the LORD of hosts and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts; Haggai 2:6,9.
I thank God for the mighty works He did through the Apostles and the great men of God that have gone to be with the Lord. Many of us have long desired to have a repeat of such good old days in our time but the truth of the matter is that there cannot be global revival until there is personal revival. Whenever God moved in different generations, He moved through men who were ablaze for Him. These men had received personal revival and were spiritually alert and sensitive because no one can offer what he does not have.
Revival is the manifestation that follows the outpouring of the Spirit of God. If one is yet to be filled with the Spirit of God, how can there be an outpouring? The first revival that sprang up after the ascension of Jesus Christ was the physical manifestation of the overflowing of God’s Spirit in the lives of the proven followers of Christ at the upper room. This was called Pentecost. Sadly, it was not all who faithfully followed Jesus during his earthly ministry that witnessed Pentecost but only those who were consistent and committed to obeying His instructions. A mere fisherman preached a single message that converted thousands of men in an un-conducive environment because his life had been saturated by the Word and the Holy Spirit could dwell therein. Do you know that the message was not a motivational message that appealed to the hearers, neither was it preached in a conducive environment? There was no air conditioning unit, nor were there fans. In fact, ordinary benches were not available for people to sit on, but the power with which Apostle Peter preached arrested the hearers and they stood; even in the sun to listen to the message until they could withstand the power of God no more. Beloved, we need such men in our generation.
Honestly, it is good to create a conducive environment for services, but this cannot change people. Only a man who is connected to the flow of the spirit can bring down this awesome experience. God is in search of men who will travail till a divine life is formed in them. A divine life produces a divine nature and until a divine nature is formed in you, you cannot attract or win the attention of heaven. Listen to this: Only a man whose life has been rightly positioned to command the attention of heaven can win the attention of heaven. Acts 2:1-4 (NLT)
After the Apostles had positioned themselves to seek God as directed by Jesus, God, seeing their commitment, sent the Holy Spirit to walk with them and through them, doing here on earth, what only Him could do. That is revival! This encounter didn’t happen just because these men had been with Jesus but it was also a result of their consistent communion with God and total consecration to the divine. They lived lives that pleased God and this attracted heavens attention to them. Whenever revival springs up, it occurs through a life that has secured the involvement of heaven.

Let’s consider the account of Elijah in the book of First Kings. .he Bible says:
“Then it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, “Is that you, O troubler of Israel?” And he answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the LORD and have followed the Baals. “Now therefore, send and gather all Israel to me on Mount Carmel, the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal, and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel. And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word. Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the LORD; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. “Therefore let them give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it; and I will prepare the other bull, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it. “Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” So all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken.” Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.” So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, “O Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made. And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened.” So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them. And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention. Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down. And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD had come, saying, “Israel shall be your name.” Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD; and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed. And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, “Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood.” Then he said, “Do it a second time,” and they did it a second time; and he said, “Do it a third time,” and they did it a third time. So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water. And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again. Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The LORD, He is God! The LORD, He is God”. 1Kings18:17-39.
This was an era where idolatry, murder and corruption reigned; an era where the spirit of Jezebel was the order of the day and objection to this way of life could result in death. All Prophets that refused to compromise their faith were killed and Jezebel became the spiritual and political leader in the land. There was therefore a great spiritual and physical famine in the land because there was no one to stand in the gap for God’s people. Suddenly, Elijah stepped into the scene and charged the atmosphere. He snatched control of the land from Jezebel and stirred the Spirit of the Almighty God into action. What a wonderful experience it was that day at Mount Carmel! He stirred God’s love in the hearts of men and women, and the people that had once been neck-deep in idolatry screamed with genuine fear of the Lord. A passion for God arose in their hearts and
“…they fell on their faces and cried out to the Lord, HE is GOD; THE LORD, HE IS GOD” vs. 39b.
What a great manifestation of the Spirit of the Almighty God! What a wonderful revival! We need such a manifestation in our time. We need men that will put the spirit of Jezebel and corruption to flight. We need men that will transform the heart of our ruthless leaders. We need men that will win their continents for God. Beloved, arise to this challenge. Let us inspire the Spirit of God to action again in our time. God stepped into the scene through Elijah because his zeal encouraged God and won heaven’s attention.
“… The LORD gave special strength to Elijah…”1 Kings 18:46a NLT

Whenever Elijah stood, God always paid special attention to him and made him a hero because he rightly positioned himself for the flow of the Spirit. Beloved, if you want God to do through you what no man can do, your Christian life must attract the attention of heaven and to do this, you cannot remain a nominal christian. Do not be deceived by the number of years you have spent in the church or the recommendation of men for our availability and connectivity to God is more important to Him than the intensity of our commitment to His service or our rank. God’s yardstick is different from the yardstick of men.
The one hundred and twenty people that encountered supernatural power at the upper room were extraordinary followers of Jesus Christ who did extraordinary things to attract the attention of heaven. God doesn’t commit himself to just anybody, His commitment is reserved for proven men with special traits.
Do you even have a genuine connection with the supernatural God? The witnesses of the Pentecost encountered kingdom allocation for global revival because they were located in the right place.
